Through the Lens:
In the early days, photography was a means of capturing a vision, a fleeting moment in nature that I could use later for reference when painting. Then it became an addiction, and much of the time the paintings never came to be. Recently I've been enhancing certain photos to have a painted quality which has a more immediate satisfaction.

It began as an annual exchange between a dear, brotherly friend in Germany as a means to share our travels and homes (and justify all those photos we take). We printed and bound our own photo calendars in the beginning each with different resources. It was never a competition really, but the inspiration, lets say, was high. I started making my calendars (shown below) for more and more friends and family. The exchange continues, the methods and techniques have evolved and this year, 2024, I decided to expand my sharing via Etsy and interested local supporters.
